The Body Shop Oils Of Life | Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil

The Body Shop, The Body Shop Oils of Life, The Body Shop Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil, facial oils, skincare blogger, scottish blogger,

The Body Shop have really stepped up their game recently and have come out with some really great products. To follow on from the luxurious Spa of The World Range, which features truly indulgent bath and body treats, The Body Shop now have the Oils of Life Range. This range is all about high quality skincare. The range has 4 items; 2 moisturisers (one for oily/combo, one for normal/dry), an essence lotion and a facial oil. This post is going to be all about the facial oil, as it is the star of the show.

The Body Shop Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil (£28)* is a blend of essential oils, to replenish and deeply nourish the skin. The three main oils in all of the Oils of Life products are; black cumin seed, camellia oil and rosehip oil.
However, the Revitalising Facial Oil also contains a blend of another seven essential oils (2 types of lavender, rosemary, orange peel, geranium, camomile and marjoram leaf) and is 99% natural origin.

This oil is one of the lightest and most easily absorbed facial oils I have tried. A couple drops pressed into the skin is enough to provide long lasting hydration, without leaving any residue or a sticky feeling on the skin. You can really feel that the oil fully absorbs, rather than it just sitting on the surface of the skin. It plumps and hydrates instantly, leaving your skin feeling super soft and supple. This will be fantastic for someone with a dehydrated skin type, as the skin really drinks this up well.

When I first got it, I went out to dinner with my Mum and Granny after, so I had it in my bag. I put a drop, one drop, onto the back of each of our hands and by the end of dinner, we all could not stop feeling our hand. It was so smooth and soft, you could feel how well the product had sunk in and hydrated the skin. It had the same result on all three of us.

As well as providing intense hydration, this oil also helps to protect the skin as black cumin has great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. So if you apply this in the morning, under your moisturiser, you're helping to protect your skin throughout the day against free radicals and other environmental damage. Applied at night, it will act as a building block to help repair and restore any damage done to the skin and replenish any moisture that has been lost.

The Revitalising Facial Oil comes in at £28 for 30ml, which is a step up in price for The Body Shop but the quality of this product is amazing. It contains so many lovely oils, that have all been hand sourced and pressed, to ensure the purest oil was provided for each product. You only need 2 drops, maybe even 1 if you want to mix it with another product such as a moisturiser, so it will last a very long time.

I'd recommend this oil for all skin types but as always everyone is different, so pop into your local store and ask for a sample if you're not sure.

Have you tried this product yet or anything else from the Oils of Life range? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed and found it helpful.
