Affordable Clarins Lip Perfector Dupe | Topshop Lip Perfector

I have a couple shades of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors. Both are pretty and sheer, with a moisturising formula that just gives a tiny hint of pastel colour. I have the shades 01 Rose Shimmer and 02 Apricot Shimmer. Which, can I point out, are not shimmery... At all.

As pretty and comfortable as Clarins Lip Perfectors are on the lips, each one will cost you £18. Eek. For very little colour pay off, it can be quite difficult to justify. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw the Topshop Lip Perfectors for £6 (Yes. £6)

These are practically identical. I have the shade Flattery in the Topshop Lip Perfector, a pretty peach shade. The formulation is identical. Both are lightweight and moisturising on the lips. They don't hang around for a great amount of time but they are so easy and fuss free, you don't mind reapplying them throughout the day.

Colour pay off- again, identical. Flattery is a sheer, barely there peach. The same kind of shade as 02 Apricot Shimmer but it appears brighter and more orange, in the tube, where as Apricot Shimmer appears more pastel. However, once applied to the lips they look the same.

As far as shade selection goes, you can chose from 6 Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors, all of which are pretty pastel or nude shades. The Topshop Lip Perfectors have 4 shades to choose from, 3 out of 4 are pastel or nude and you've got one bright (gorgeous) red shade, which is the only brighter, bolder shade available from either brand.

The only difference is the packaging. Clarins is far more luxe, without a doubt. Topshop Lip Perfectors are in a basic, plastic tube. Borrrring. However, both products have a little sponge applicator that the product oozes through (The only way I could think to describe it!).

Overall, if you like the look of a pretty, fuss free lip that just gives a hint of colour, definitely check out the Topshop Lip Perfectors as a cheaper alternative to the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors.
